Darius Goes West is completely independent film. This means a lot of money for Darius’s disease, but not a lot of money for marketing.
To spread word of our mission we rely on free “marketing” mediums such as YouTube, Facebook, and Email. We also rely on our incredible supporters to let future supporters know that not only is Darius Goes West worth watching, but also that each DVD sold raises $17 for a disease that can affect anyone in the world.
Emails are the superior medium for spreading our message. They are personal, they spread the message far and fast, and they can include easily accessible links to the videos on YouTube (like the one above) that announce the million DVD Goal. However, we all know that emails can sometimes take a long time to write.
To combat this fact we’ve made a “template” email available for anyone who wants to tell their friends, family, co-workers, or really anybody about Darius Goes West. We’ve also created a Press Release that announces our million DVD campaign. Copying and sending these materials to people who might further the cause is an enormous help to the DGW Foundation. In fact, other than buying a DVD, participating in the grassroots email campaign is the single best way to help.
…And one more thing. These emails are simply suggestions. Feel free to use them as is, or make as many revisions as you like.
