Darius Goes West - One Year. One Million DVDs.

Darius and crew visited Morgan County High School, home of the Bulldogs.

There we met up with Dr. Mark Wilson (in the picture). Dr. Wilson, the principal of Morgan County High School, was also our host at the principals’ conference we attended earlier in the week.

Dr. Wilson had called an assembly in the school’s gym, telling students it was for a “Christmas safety lecture.”

Luckily for them, they got Darius instead!

Students watched Darius Goes West in their English classes, and they loved the chance to meet Darius.

We also really enjoyed seeing M.C.H.S. students and talking about Duchenne muscular dystrophy and life on the road…

and the Bulldogs were REALLY motivated about making a difference.

In addition to buying a ton of merchandise, they asked insightful questions about the crew’s goals and offered suggestions about how to recruit other students to help the cause.

After the assembly, we met with Mr. Scott’s class to show off our web site. (They especially loved the DGW Celebrity Resemblances Blog, with Darius as the Kool-Aid man!)

The students at Morgan County High School really understood our goal. After we left, Dr. Wilson asked how they wanted to help the cause.
