Police Trouble at Brandeis!

Here’s an account of DGW’s visit and screening at Brandeis University, told in quotes.
“One of the things that I’ve noticed through our travels…is that universal accessibility is an important thing that I didn’t realize before. I just didn’t think about it until I started hanging out with Darius.”–Crew-member Sam, when asked how Darius Goes West has changed him.
“Darius, you and your friends are such great spokesmen for this disease.”–A member of the crowd during the question-and-answer session.
“Yeah, I’m here showing my movie.”–Darius, talking to a policeman who was called about a suspicious person in a wheelchair wandering the halls of Brandeis University’s Schneider Building.
“When you buy one of our RV DVD boxes, not only are you saving $10 on a t-shirt; you’re getting all your holiday shopping done in one fell swoop.”–DGW driver Daniel, giving his improvised pitch for RVs.
“Clearly we’re a silly bunch–very informal…
but we are extremely passionate about our goal…
and we work tirelessly toward that goal…

“Seriously, we need all the help we can get.”–Sam.
“Thank you, Sarah!”–Darius and the crew to Sarah Romain, our host at Brandeis and Logan’s former roommate. Sarah coordinated the screening with Judith, Rachel, and Jen. They entertained us and even fed us sushi! Thanks, guys!

The rowdy crew sets a course for California where they hope to convince MTV to customize Darius's wheelchair on the hit show, Pimp My Ride. Darius Goes West has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people of all ages all around the world.
The Movement
Darius Goes West is more than a film. The continuing story of Darius, his crew, and the tens of thousands of supporters they have met in their travels can be experienced on this website. This site is continually updated with short videos, blog posts, and innovative initiatives that aim to affect a cure for DMD.
DGW is a registered 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. All proceeds benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.
