On The Road Again!

Hey supporters! We could not be more excited to be hitting the road for THREE WEEKS early tomorrow morning!
Please check the “screenings link” to see if we’ll be headed towards you. And if you want us to head towards you for a screening…let us know!
In coordination with our road trip, we are also launching a grassroots email campaign to raise awareness for this year’s million DVD initiative. Essentially, we’ve drafted a couple of template emails that make it easy for anyone to announce the cause via email If you would like to participate in this campaign, please send us a quick email with the subject line “Grassroots Email Campaign”. Our email address is DariusGoesWest@gmail.com.
And one more thing….as we hit the road again this blog will become the central source for DGW videos, pictures, and stories from the road. You can expect to hear anecdotes from Darius and each of the crew members. To have these updates delivered to your email address, just hit the subscribe link on the right side of this page.

Accompanied by eleven best friends, Darius Weems, a fifteen-year-old living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), leaves home for the first time in his life. The rowdy crew sets a course for California where they hope to convince MTV to customize Darius's wheelchair on the hit show, Pimp My Ride. Darius Goes West has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people of all ages all around the world.
The Movement
Darius Goes West is more than a film. The continuing story of Darius, his crew, and the tens of thousands of supporters they have met in their travels can be experienced on this website. This site is continually updated with short videos, blog posts, and innovative initiatives that aim to affect a cure for DMD.
DGW is a registered 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. All proceeds benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.

darius is on the road again he will be coming to the macellus driver middle school this friday february 13 2009 then in march he will be showing his movie for everyone to watch. we don’t know the date yet i will be sure to keep you posted.
