Now in Wenatchee

Right now Darius and crew are in beautiful Wenatchee, Washington.
We’re super busy on the road, and we’re not always able to find reliable internet connections, so blog posts are usually posted up to a week or two after we’re in a place.
But in Wenatchee, we’ve had a little time to breathe, and we wanted to touch base. Our host, Misty Stuart, has set us up in a home she rents out to tourists. It’s been great to stay in one place for a few days and catch up on work, and we’re really grateful to Misty for her generosity.
Thanks to Misty’s initiative, a Wenatchee Wild hockey game will have Darius as the guest of honor. It’s Wednesday night at Town Toyota Center, and we’re excited to see what Wenatchee has in store for us.

Accompanied by eleven best friends, Darius Weems, a fifteen-year-old living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), leaves home for the first time in his life. The rowdy crew sets a course for California where they hope to convince MTV to customize Darius's wheelchair on the hit show, Pimp My Ride. Darius Goes West has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people of all ages all around the world.
The Movement
Darius Goes West is more than a film. The continuing story of Darius, his crew, and the tens of thousands of supporters they have met in their travels can be experienced on this website. This site is continually updated with short videos, blog posts, and innovative initiatives that aim to affect a cure for DMD.
DGW is a registered 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. All proceeds benefit Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.
I was at Abbys pizza on Tue the 17th and saw you all there eating but was not sure who you were. Then the next night I saw you at the Wenatchee Wild game. I purchased your DVD and just finished watching it tonight. I was bawling. I was so touched and inspired. Thank you all for opening my eyes to this disease. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.

Oh yeah…..I loved the Wasabi (guslavi) part. I will never eat it again without thinking of Darius.
Guys! Come back! I will make more apple cake! We had so much fun with y’all and it was so sad when you left… We hope that you will visit again. You guys are crazy! Keep up the fight, you are all amazing! We watched the movie again (110th time)..It is just that good!
