No Aliens, Just Knights at CHS in Roswell, GA

December 29, 2008

Quote of the day: “Mmmmm…cake.”—Darius, on seeing the welcoming cake for him at Centennial High School.

Next up, Darius and crew headed to Centennial High School in Roswell, GA to meet with students.

The visit was set up by Traci Coleman, and we had a blast.

In addition to meeting with some students individually, we also had an assembly with a LOT of Knights students.

The students were great.

In a question-and-answer session, they had a lot of insightful questions for Darius and the crew about their travels, muscular dystrophy, and life in general.

No wonder Centennial was ranked a “top high school” in Math and Science, Language Arts, and Sports by Atlanta Magazine.

After the assembly, we spent some more individual time with students…

and enjoyed some wonderful cake. (Maybe we enjoyed it too much: by the time DGW photographer Kevin had gotten his camera out, this was all that was left!)

Our stop at Centennial was a great way to kick off another stretch on the road. Thanks, Traci and Knights!
