Magic Tricks at North Georgia

January 26, 2009

Quote of the Day: “You’ll see some intermittently funny writing…but it is always grammatically correct”–crew-member Daniel’s less-than-stellar (and, hopefully, sarcastic!) endorsement of the Darius Goes West Blog.

After our trip across town to the University of Georgia, North Georgia College and State University played host to Darius Goes West.

While the movie played, Alicia Bryson of Gamma Sigma Sigma chilled with us in the lounge.

Alicia went to Clarke Central High School, where she was in the same grade as crew members Andrew, Ben, Collin, and Sam.

Gamma Sigma Sigma hooked us up with dinner from Chick-fil-A, along with a plate of awesome cupcakes that doubled as a fundraiser!

When the screening ended, we hopped up on-stage for a question-and-answer session with the audience.

The crowd got a kick out of the possible sequel to Darius Goes West: Darius Goes to Japan.

Later, Daniel performed a magic trick, conjuring an RV full of DVDs.

The crowd responded with a wave of support for the cause, making donations and buying Darius Goes West merchandise. Thanks, North Georgia!

And major thanks, Alicia, Gamma Sigma Sigma, Coach Adams, and the women’s soccer team!
