Buy the DVD

Carver Middle School

November 21, 2008

Quote of the Day: “What? Dark blue looks good on me.”–Darius, when a crew-member pointed out his all-Syracuse outfit.

Darius and crew got the chance to go to Monroe, Georgia  (Walton County) for a visit at Carver Middle School.

Collin spent some time admiring the schools trophies. Looks like even more than DGW’s 28 film festival accolades…

We had an informative question-and-answer session where Darius and gang talked about their goal to sell one million DVDs over the next year.

Afterwards, the audience showed their support by buying Darius Goes West merchandise. It’s both stylish AND works towards eradicating Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Students, teachers, and community members loved the chance to meet Darius…

who was representing for his friends at Syracuse.

It was great to meet up with new recruits.

As we get ready for another trip north, we’re constantly reinvigorated by the support of people we meet along the way.

Major props to Parent Mentor, Teresa Johnson, who organized this awesome screening! And thanks so much, Carver Middle School and Monroe!

Thanks to Logan, Ben, Darius and the crew for coming to Walton County, Monroe! It was such a pleasure for our students and parents to meet all of you and to view the Darius Goes West documentary. Your story continues to touch lives, as many of those who came are still talking about it. Those who didn’t are buying from the DVD bus, and want some of your great tshirts.

You are all a blessing. We hope and pray that you have safe travels as you continue your mission, that Darius remains strong and in good health, and 1 Million DVDs are sold.

    Enjoy the cruise!
