First some history. Nine years ago….(seriously!?)
Every year we try to outdo the previous year.
This year we’re going big.
Because every year is more important than the year before.
Here’s what we’re going to do, and you can help no matter where you are.
Thursday August, 22 — Doors open at 6pm. Tourney starts at 7pm.
The Rail — 1120, Mitchell Bridge Road
Texas Hold em’ (and other casino games)
Top prize is a casino package. 2nd & 3rd place get cool stuff, too.
Support this event: $40 donation to play in the tournament (players can donate in advance or at the door).
Casino chips available for a $20 donation per stack on night of event.

Drive in Movie! Come watch the Goonies with fellow Athenians, Darius & crew.
Saturday August 23, 6pm — 10:30pm (A mini-carnival w/ BBQ until dusk–bring the fam!)
Epting Events, 1430 N. Chase St.
Movie screening, BBQ, Airbrush Tattoos, Face-painting, a firetruck pull!

Double feature! All attendees leave with a free DGW dvd.
A 5k race! (Wheelchair accessible)
Saturday August, 24 — 7am
The race begins and ends at the Athens Classic Center Warehouse buildings on Foundry Street. Address for The Classic Center is 300 N. Thomas St., Athens, GA.
Race Darius and crew through Dudley Park and the Greenway along Willow St.
Cash to first place (male & female + first place finisher that uses a wheelchair). More prizes for runners up. All racers who preregister get an event t-shirt and a free DVD of Darius Goes West.
