25 Days, 11 States, 10,000+ Students, 1 Goal… THE DGW “BELIEVE” TOUR

May 05, 2012

Earlier this year, Darius signed a record deal with New South Entertainment and recently released three inspirational rap songs on iTunes geared to his core crowd of young and impressionable youth. And once again, he is taking to the road to raise awareness of his disease (Duchenne muscular dystrophy) and inspire and connect with students and educators across the Northeast.

We’re calling this journey The DGW “Believe” Tour (named after one of his most popular new raps), and we hit the road on Sunday, May 13. To see where we’re headed, check out the itinerary below. At each school, Big Daddy Weems will do a  Q&A on the film, followed by a mini-concert. The tour also includes Big Daddy Weems headlining at the VIP Club in Washington, PA.

The DGW “Believe” Tour ends in Baltimore, where Darius will have his last clinical trial visit at Johns Hopkins, and where his doctors are hosting a screening of the film that’s open to the public.

On this journey, we’ll be taking tons of pics and videos and blogging about our adventures. Come hitch a ride with us! As always, we welcome your comments and appreciate your support of a cause we remain passionate about.

The DGW “Believe” Tour is powered by the generosity of Advanced Turbine Support (Gainesville, FL), The Bezos Family Foundation, The Charles Englehard Foundation, Delta Airlines, Lucy Rowland, and Randy Reiff.
